Unsuccessfulness...

It's how we wanted to describe on our hiking trip on the popular Broga Hill earlier this month. The gang (a total 5 of us) started our climb around 5+ in the morning. Didn't achieve our goal though (getting to the hill top and catch the early sunrise) due to the constant drizzling rain thus making our climb slippery while on our way to the top.

It was bloody dark if you're planning to climb during the wee hours. So it's best is to bring more LED (super brighter than those usual bulbs) torch light.

Failed scenery shot taken on one of hilltop spot cause I didn't use a tripod. And it was drizzling too, sad. But Val had better shots on his DSLR though.

While on our way down... it was already 7am, and still the sun is not visible.

Darn, we're THIS close to the top and thanks to the rain, we've no choice but to do a U-turn downhill. However, we had quite an adventure climbing up in the dark. Most important thing is to check the weather forecast the night before your climb.

There will be plans for a 2nd round soon though, and next time we'll be at the top catching the sun rise!

Well... at least today was better than few days back, it was very hazy and you can feel that every single breath you take was very unhealthy and polluted, but what to do?

Nothing much for us to do on this Sunday, do not feel like hanging out in the crowded shopping mall every weekend. However, it's very hot and humid afternoon at home, what to do?

Normally Frag and I will clean our room, as we had too many "rubbish" that we do not bear to throw even though we are not going to use it anymore. Well, we just love to keep them, what to do?

This is why we want to clean and clear almost everytime when we are free or if there's nothing to do. Slowly we tend to throw those "rubbish" bit by bit, and I bet you will have the same experience like us, trying so hard to throw them, anyhow, they are just "rubbish", what to do?

The room is getting cleaner nowadays! Like it so much! Here are some shots of the roomz! Let the picture do the talking, better? What to do?

Gosh, time sure really flies and I'm lacking of it. Trying to get everything done just before the magazine closing deadline end of this month.

Both of us didn't even have the time, actually it was more like too busy, to celebrate our 2nd anniversary (yes, we're two!) properly. But I'm glad at least we managed to have a great time having steamboat dinner in Curve earlier. Let us make it up for Saturday then!

Anyways, I'm taking the opportunity here to say...

Dearest Phoebe, we're officially 2 years together! Thanks for the all the tender, loving, care given to me... and I'll forever cherish all the sweet memories that we've been throughout our 2 years together. There's more for us to journey into down the road but I'm wishing it's be always together with you side by side, no matter what happens or how tough obstacles are ahead. And I love you very much, baby! Hugs and kisses! :)

九份/Jiu Fen, Taiwan

I'm back with another update on my Taiwan business trip earlier this month! I am sure many of you have heard about this popular place in Taiwan, also a must-visit spot for tourists there. Basically we need to take about an hour to reach thare by train from Taipei Main station.

Jiu Fen is a place which located on the mountain areas. Therefore, if you're to take a train from Taipei itself, then you'll be able to reach "Ruai Fang" only. Next, proceed on to take a bus right outside the train station straight into Jiu Fen, it tooks us around about 10 mins to reach the hill from the train station anyway.

The weather is cold and the surrounding scenery (mostly green environment) is superb! However, this place is really crowded all thanks to the non-stop tourist visitings. I found that almost all the shops there have Japanese-translated information tagged along. And to my suprise, most locals there speak fluence Japanese. Gosh!

This is the main entrance leading into the famous street of Jiu Fen, and there's the scenery overlooking the mountain area when we got to the top!

This street is the most popular spot in Jiu Fen, that's because inside there, you'll find way to much of interesting local made stuff and most importantly, loads of nice local foooooood! And the street is kinda long, you would need to travel by foot and walk at least 3km, till the end of the street and make a round back to the main entrance.

The shop owner here will teach you how to select a nice writing brush for souviner. They even helped us to carve our names on it.

Here's another nice place selling the tea pots and also place for a cup of hot tea!

I love this shop! Selling hand-made clay instruments - flutes especially. Here's the pretty shop owner doing a live flute performance for us.

Food, food, food... along the way! You may find these type of stalls along the street.

Isn't the house here beautiful plus it's located along the cliff? Makes a nice place to yum cha accompanied by the nice scenery. There are a tons of inns like this around this area.

I really find this place unique~ at least you won't be able to find it in M'sia :P

The Old Jolly Times

On last Sunday, I organized an dim sum breakfast gathering for the OWL & BND thread members in SS2. Well, it's been some time since the entire gang (though some pioneer members couldn't make it) met up.

The place in SS2 was packed by the time we got there. Forgot the name of the shop but it's located on same row with Pelita mamak and next to Sports Toto.

We had a variety of excellent dim sums, and it taste better than most dim sum shop I've been to. Rotten PSP not included

Think about it, it's been almost three years since the gang first met. At that time, we became one of the most widely visited social & networking thread in Lowyat.Net. Heck, we sure had serious fun times along the years, having occasional gatherings like BBQ parties, futsal activities, convoy trips, eating sessions and more.

What a fun morning it was, well you certainly can't beat good friends, good food and good quilting... all together. Next up for the gang - a bak kut teh gathering!

Taipei 101

During my trip to Computex in Taiwan for work, my colleagues and I went to the Taiwan World Trade Centre (TWTC) whereby the show was held. You will find a few famous shopping malls centralized within the trade centre area which are the Taipei 101, New York New York, and Xing Guang 3 Yue.

After completing our round of visit on Computex show, a few of us decided to go up to Taipei 101 (also the world's tallest skyscraper!) in the evening. When we got up there and saw the view, it is one of the most beautiful night scene overlooking the city. Very nice! It cost us about NTD 400 each person to go up.

A Mother's Day

Remember 10th May 2009...

Usually, we have family gatherings every Sunday, with our relatives coming over to hangout and chat around. But on this day, it's something different because we threw a simple-yet-suprise Mother's Day celebration for the mums in our family.

A homemade chocolate cake prepared by my sis, one regular way (also a must) on how we celebrate Mother's Day together under one big family. (p/s: My sis does cake orders btw, interested? Do lemme know yeah!)

All hail the iron ladies of the Wong family. Here's mum, aunties and grandma... who are the backbone of the family tree. Big thanks and hugs for making us who we are today. We love you, mummies!

Half Past Five

Gosh, I'm suprised to find myself still here awake at 5 in the morning. Must be the iced tea drinks I had during yumcha earlier. Thank God it's Sunday today. Had this deep hunger striking my stomach. I have a terrible feeling that I must pay a quick visit in Chow Kit, to satisfy my hunger and crave for a juicy Bak Kut Teh meal now. Must... resist... temptation...

H'mmm... pork. Any friends up for a gathering feast?

Just had a couple of DOTA games with my bro via LAN and I definitely sucked big time, after not playing it for almost a year. Nothing interesting today, as I've been surfing online hanging out in Facebook and tried my Twitter for the first time. It's the next big thing online, however I find it nothing great though. Perharps, I'm missing something I guess. Add me!

Anyways, we had a quite a dinner earlier at this Bumbu Bali restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong, man... they served great authentic Balinese food. If you're reading this Pa, I would like to wish you the awesome-est birthday and thanks for being everything to the family. I love you, man!

Gone Fishing

On a wonderful early Sunday morning (I forgot exactly when it was), we went for an interesting activity - fishing - together with my parents. The place that we're about to fish is located somewhere within inner Serdang village, some kilometers away from South City Plaza area.

Back then when I was a young brat, I used to follow my dad and uncle Phil (their favourite pasttime) into alienated places in the woods and swamps looking for wildlife lakes and ponds to do some hardcore angling. Yes, that's right ANGLING, sounds pro right? I know I'm not one anyways. Here's looking at how Wikipedia define it for newbies...

"Angling is a method of fishing by means of an "angle" (hook). The hook is usually attached by a line to a fishing rod. A bite indicator such as a float is sometimes used. The rod is usually fitted with a fishing reel that functions as a mechanism for storing, retrieving and paying out the line. The hook can be dressed wit lures or baits. Angling is a principal method of sport fishing."

Besides fishing being a rewarding sport... well if you get the fish, it's worth the time it takes to cast a line, relaxing while enjoying the peaceful surrounding. I believe fishing helps to get things out of your head, and keeps you calm. In my countless years of fishing (lol!), I've learned about patience, relaxing, and how to enjoy nature.

After spending some time looking for the place, we finally found it, which is actually a man-made fishing pond hidden and surrounded by trees

The place's filled with anglers by the time we got there. We immediately start unpacking and begin our angling mission

Mum & Dad - both avid anglers and seriously good at it especially me papa. If I'm not wrong, I think they're challenging each other on catching the most fishes at that time. Talk about serious competition, huh

That's my secondary fishing tool aka "secret" weapon (with the hook and fishing line tied to a big stone). There's also a pebble acting as an indicator that moves should any small fishes bite or pull the bait. Dun play-play, I'm good at this

And here I'm being joined by 2 dragonflies while I'm ~~half asleep~~ focusing on my angling technique and patiently waiting to strike a gigantic fish

Our catch of the day - a total of 9 fishes. The big ones are by caught by my parents. I think Dad almost hit the jackpot, a competition where cash prize is given those who catch the heaviest fish end of the day.

Usually in fishing ponds like this, you'll find breeds like Patin (Silver Catfish), Keli, Tai Dau Pok (Big Head Carp) and 'Fei Jaus' (?). There are different techniques and baits which are used to catch different kind of breeds. It all depends on the area you're fishing in

Here's my catch with my 'secret' weapon. These fishes are 'Fei Jaus' which I named Lampard, Gerrard and Fabregas. Tough looking but easy weaklings, waiting to be fried and eaten!

What's dangerous and hurts most in fishing? When I was young, I was taught to bait my own hook. There was once when I've accidently kicked the fishing rod on it standing position, it felt down causing the freaking hook to be pulled thus it pierced into my finger flesh! All this happened when worms are attached to the hook. The pain's crucifying... and digusting.

Anyways, nowadays it's hard to find for an authentic natural fishing spots, with many disappearing due the uncontrolled pacy land developments and mushrooming of housing areas everywhere for the past decade. Damn those people-in-charge to hell for exploiting forest lands of mother nature! There used to be tons of good fishing lakes in Klang Valley area, but now it's all gone. Instead, you'll find loads of articifial ponds and fish/prawn fishing shops everywhere, especially within Serdang Village area.

Those were the days of good ol' outdoor natural fishing, but at least the fishing hobby still lives on. Enough of ranting, I'm itching for one soon!

A Chinese Delicacy - DIY Style

This was supposed to be posted probably 6 months back ago, few days prior to the year of Ox (aka Chinese New Year 2009).

Anyways, it's food-related, who cares? Haha! We came up with the idea of doing Chicken Floss Fried Wantons ala homemade style, instead of buying it from outside. Recession and tough times ahead mah... what to do?

A small-size container of these fried wantons would probably cost you about RM20 to 25 out there nowadays. Plus, some sellers would usually give little stuffings (either chicken or pork floss) inside. Things nowadays definitely are integrating the "Pay More, Get Less" practice. Damn buggers!

The ingredients prepared by us were chicken floss, frozen wanton skin (small pieces), a few eggs (stirred) and tons of patience. Know where to get these, right?

Place a handful of floss onto the wanton skin. Next, start rolling and wrapping them. Finally, patch any opening with the beaten egg to prevent any leaks of the floss during the frying session. Firstly, hand wash required though, very important

The essence of this DIY project are... to stuff, roll, wrap and patch the wantons. Then take a breather. Repeat all these steps until you're done. This stage can be tiring, so get a partner (better if you've got a few to help out) to accelerate things up

Fry these awesome babies till they turned golden brown, for around a couple of mins... I think

Even an Iron Chef was flew in from Japan specially to cook this delicacy. He declined his name and identity to be posted here though

Viola! Homemade delicious snacks... beats buying from outside. And taste much better yo!

Gosh, time realy flies fast I'd say.

It's back to Monday blues on work after a long 3-days off.

The Lee Hom live concert in Malaysia last week was quite entertaining, even though I couldn't understand most of the songs' meaning but thankfully he sang some of popular tunes. Anyways, it's worth watching... well since he's someone's favourite idol. Thanks again for tix, dear!

Amount of work task and responsibility are gradually growing day by day. Currently, I'm still busy with the closing of May's magazine alongside with the rest of my colleagues. God, wish I've more time (as in days) to service to my clients throughout the entire day man.

Just got to know that Feebz will be away to Taiwan for an expo for almost a week! That's sad for me, but deep inside I'm feeling very happy for her as she can travel to Taiwan at the same time show her China-man bosses there on how good she can perform in her work. Good job and make sure enjoy what you are doing currently.

Back to work, cant wait to leave office though.

Batu Caving Session

Ah at last, updates from us, something interesting to share with you guys.

Last month, we paid a visit to the Batu Caves Temple in Gombak, together with Feebz's cousin and her bro on a shooting session. This is the pligrimage site where our yearly Thaipusam festival is held for our Hindu brothers and many Hindu visitors worldwide.

The sun was scorching hot and it was a humid noon, but our passion (not me, me not good enough lol) in photography was hotter. Thus we stayed there for quite some time exploring around, looking for interesting stuff to shoot.

The envious feeling kicked in, seeing the rest holding great camera and equipments to shoot/snipe. Hmm, but I'd have great faith in my old trusty Lumix FZ7, and I still believe I can go further and there's more to learn though. It rocks man. :)

Bought the Wang Lee Hom "Music Man" live concert tickets yet?

Oh well, I have been questioned whenever I meet my close friends, whom all knew that I am a big die-hard fan of Lee Hom since I was 15 years old!

And so my answer is ...

YES!!! I've got 2 discounted tickets with nice seatings before the concert organizer open the tickets for sale to the public - all thanks to a friend ;)

Seriously, I definitely can't wait to see the good concert from Lee Hom again, and this time it will be held at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil coming 2nd of May! Confirmed to be ABSOLUTELY GOOD stuff by Lee Hom himself, I hope!

My biggest satisfaction and happiest thing about this concert is ...

I succeed to persuade my Darl, to go and watch the concert together with me this time! Therefore, no more watching Lee Hom concerts alone again like for the past few times. :D

I should've posted this a month ago... but then, better late than never right?

Well as you all know, many KL-ites living in the city without any hometowns to go back to during Chinese New Year festival is alway a torture to go through. Yes, there are still gatherings to be held, houses to be visited, angpows to be collected and also the in-thing to done, EAT!

Yet somehow it feels the same as always... boring, especially after the 3rd day of CNY. In fact, the celebrations in KL this year is getting less lively compared to the other hometowns in different states. Sigh... where in the world has the Gong Xi spirit and mood gone to!?

Now, here's what to do as a KL-ite in the city during the CNY, take photos and go mall hunting for closed shops. Happens almost every year for me.

"Good what... no traffic jam, whole roads empty open for you, can conquer shopping malls by yourself, no need to queue up!", they always say.

Now at least there's something good about the CNY...

As the Year of the Ox is about to begin, it is once again the season for many of us to return home a.k.a "Balik Kampung" to reunite with family and friends - celebrating the coming of a new year, also not a very good year for business etc.

Special Moments... TQ!!!

It's been some time already since I last blog on something different, and this long too. Well it is different due to the fact that lately everyone is into shopping mode, driving holes into their pockets & purses. It's all because of the festive sales in shopping centres and warehouse sales. Sometimes, it's really worth buying stuff during such time when there are further markdowns and discounts given!

Thought of getting Frag a wallet as his current one is wore off and looked pitiful in its bad state. And he doesn't bear to change as it is sentimental to him, I doubt. Lol! Thus, l decided to give him an early birthday surprise by getting a nice leather wallet from Ted Baker for a good price.

At first I was thinking, should I keep it till his birthday next month? But why should I keep it till next month, cant I just get him another surprise when the time comes. So I hid it inside his wardrobe for surprise. Felt glad he loved it very much, no need for exchange! Was very lucky as the salesperson said the wallet is quite limited as it's a new arrival and only one in every Ted Baker outlets. Phew, now that's worth it!

As for me, I received a surprise too when I was given this present, a small little clutch for my birthday. This particular brand, I couldn't bear to use it as I find it pricey and exclusive for my liking, would rather keep it for collection. Happiness suddenly poured in as I have been receiving numerous birthday messages from friends and family members back home! Really really appreciate that alot...

Speaking on gadgets, I have been using the LG KF300 phone for the past 2 weeks, seriously it's a nice cool phone with basic features, just what I need in a phone. Haha! I love the functions inside it and happy with everything this phone offers~ Definitely a big improvement by LG and also worth the value. What's most important is I felt very comfortable using it!

Thanks to you, Daling and everyone! I felt really really grateful for and deeply appreciate for what is being done and given for me in life at the moment.

Secret Frame Interactive (run by Issa and his partners) is a studio photography back in Johor Bahru, mainly specialise in commercial products and portrait photography as well as various other forms of speciality services upon request. Lately, they are currently busy with some projects involving companies locally and also Singapore.

Here's the LG KF300 handphone that Feebz felt in love with, since the current Nokia one (the legendary first 3G phone, lol) is giving her problems, it's time for a new phone. The KF300 sure looks delicate and girlie in pink, has an improved phone interface and nice functions, unlike the older models. A real stunner I'd say... definitely worth the ringgit.

Pulau Ketam, Here We Come!

I believe many of you have heard about Pulau Ketam, it is a small fishing village island which is 30 mins away from the Port Klang Jetty if you are taking a speed boat there. It's the Raya public holidays again~ and Frag's friend, Joelle came up with a plan that we all should head there for a day's trip!

As everything was confirmed on the following day, things started with 6 of us including Frag's ex-colleagues to gather at the Organiser's place at 9 a.m. in the morning, then head off to SS2 for our breakfast before shooting down to Klang.

As we reached there, there were already a huge crowd waiting / heading to Pulau Ketam, in fact we queued up for an one hour & half just for the arrival of ferry. Crazy! We actually waited for 3 rounds to secure ourself into the ferry. It was extraordinary packed that day.

The ferry that we boarded was moving slow when it reached a certain area of the sea, that was because of the tide out and the sea level was too shallow. By 1p.m. we had reached the island, the first thing we did were to go for LUNCH! We had a nice seafood meal in a restaurant right after the jetty, I wont say it is very cheap judging by the standard over there~!

We then took our sweet time walking and exploring around the village. There are a few temples in the island and a lot of people especially locals, moving around with their only mode of transportation... bicycles! Saw a loads of nice houses and boats as well. We walked around till it was 4.30p.m. then we headed for the jetty, as we can see the crowd were started to Q up. The last boat to leave the island will be usually around 6.30p.m.

Thanks to the boat owner allow us to take picture on his boat, the whole boat has been booked by a groom whom that time was having a wedding lunch on the island.

Anyways, it was a nice trip, different experience and we had a really good time and fun with the rest despite the sunny weather and the mad queues while waiting for ferry! :)

It is now the first day of Hari Raya and 2 days of holiday (some got 3) certainly gives us time for a relaxing break. It's been quite the opposite compared to our working days, specially my banking job. Phew...

By the way, we just got back from a day trip with our friends from Pulau Ketam (Crab's Island), an island away from Port Klang. Will blog about it in our next post!

Currently into listening oldies from yester years, singing along to songs from popular "legends" such as BeeGees, Barry Manilow, The Temptations, Spandau Ballet, Righteous Brothers, etc. These old songs aka goldies are certainly timeless and brings back the good old memories. (as if lah, duh!) Something certainly soothing to the ears. Ahhhh...

Mooncakes from Chynna

Mooncakes. What's that?

Some of you noobs out there might ask...

Uncle Google said it's a "Chinese pastry traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival (yup, it's on this coming weekend!). Typical mooncakes are round or rectangular pastries with thick filling usually made from lotus seed paste is surrounded by a relatively thin crust and may contain yolks".

The packaging - a long rectangular contemporary box with a iron lock. Looks like a traditional treasure chest box to me.

Introducing the Chynna Mooncakes by KL Hilton, thanks to Feebz!

The mini mooncakes printed with Chinese symbols and Chynna logo. This one comes with a single yolk - averagely sweet and taste great.

The mooncakes are placed in boxes and packed as a set, in a classic wooden chest box which makes a great collection, specially for box lovers. Haha!

Here's one that we brought back from Lavender Cake Shop & Bistro in JB. Tried samples of nearly every kind they have there and we ended up buying boxes of the normal ones for our families, plus this Strawberry Snow-skin Mooncake with black bean paste inside.

So anyone's up for a mooncake festival gathering?

Sweet Holidays...

Reporting live from Bamboo Hut Bistro (thank you for the free broadband internet access!) in the Aldy Hotel Melaka, situated a few blocks away after the Red Square Clock Tower by the Malacca River.

Seeing that the holidays are coming this week, the Team F&F consist of... us decided to head off here for a day doing the 'walk-walk-eat-eat' stuff in Malacca, an UNESCO world heritage historic city and followed by a trip back to Feebz's hometown in Johor Bahru. Hehe.

By the way, Jonker's Street is just a stone throws away from this hotel. So it's pretty convinient if you are into sight seeing and visiting places of interest. Will be meeting up some friends later for lunch at a place selling Satay Babis (Pork Satays), which is a must eat whenever I'm in Malacca.

Unwell, I Felt

Sigh, the weather's not being very kind lately, with the sudden change of heavy rain showering over KL since a couple of days ago. It's bloody wet everywhere... but at least, the temperature's not rising up anymore.

This spells "sick season" whereby people tend to fall sick. Many around me in office and home also have fallen to sickness. Most popular ones such as dry cough and sore throat is definitely a "trend" right now.

Unfortunately I've fallen sick as well added with bloody nose block and tiny migraine since last night. Hardly can talk properly as I've got excessive green phlegms plugging up my chest, which tickles and irritates alot. That's sick.

Currently, I'm online and having lunch here at Wok N Roll Cafe, nearby USCI. Not gonna talk bout food here as the Marmite Chicken rice set I ordered sucks Thankfully there's a large projector here showing telecast of Beijing Olympics athletics on the 100m, 110m, 400m men & women... bad show performance by the US team.

Heading off to see the doc and also to do some bank stuff. So peeps, do take good care of your body and drink more water.

This is the very first time that I tried out changing the coding for our blog's HTML. After some trial and errors, I managed to come out with a new blog template~!

It is quite fun! At least, I did not forget all my basic programming skills taught by my lecturer. Hehe!

Well, never try and you will never know! It is actually not hard to figure out the coding behind every template! Just try to mix and match and definitely you will have thousand of ideas of all the templates you want!

I might be able to come out with my very own template one day!!! With one condition, if I got the time to sit down and really study it.

We did really enjoy our stay at the Avillion Port Dickson, even though was only just for a night. We did a lot of sun tanning and swimming during the 2 days, as well as enjoying the view and the sea breeze~! Nice white sand beach maintain well by the management. Cant wait to go back there again!

Avillion Port Dickson - 1

It's been a while since we do some updates here on this blog. Started my new job in a local bank not long ago, pretty interesting learning the trades of the banking industry - if you minus out the regular tense working environment and usual daily routines. Not bad!

Anyway, the blog will continue on, after some pesterings made by our readers! Haha! We made a sudden trip to the Avillion Port Dickson (famous for its water chalets & seven-finger piers reaching the sea) for a night's stay, after deciding to take a break from working life in the city.

Fulamak... we found the atmosphere and environment of the resort simply breathtaking! We chilled out, went sunbathing and swam for the entire day. Nothing beats sleeping, basking and relaxing at a private white sandy beach - accompanied by the sea and sun.

At the entrance, there's a little stage on a pond. Staff there plays traditional music... welcoming guests & visitors. Soothing to the heart, mind and soul

The adult pool... also known as the 24-hour pool, isolated from the resort's main swimming pool. This is the place where we spent our late hours in the night swimming!

The Pet farm... open for daily feedings for the visitors. You'll find chickens, rabbits, tortoises, hambalang also got! Suprisingly, no flies spotted

Avillion’s signature rooms - water chalet room - sit on stilts above water. Comes with four-poster king size bed & 'Pangkin' (day bed) with partial sea view for those who just want to do nothing but relax by the balcony and unwind. Freaking awesome

Push away the rattan blinds and you'll find this balcony facing the sea. We sank here on the comfy seating area a lot during the night while enjoying the sea breeze. Lovely

The open shower concept bathroom where we pampered ourselves with the freedom of showering or simply sink in the deep bathtub under the sky. It's super spacious, too bad the bathtub only fits one person though :(

It has been some time since my last entry. Real busy with job as it is tiring everyday! Seems like 24 hours is really not enough for me nowadays. God is fair because no matter how good or how bad, how lucky or unlucky, how good looking or not, each of us has only 24 hours a day~!

On the previous month.. Casa, Frag and I visited the KL National Zoo, a place I have been wanting to go since like 8 years ago! The zoo's not as bad as I imagine in the first place. Unfortunately, many animals are either hiding or being unactive during day time. If I am not mistaken, the zoo will open at night during weekends as well, known as the Safari~!

Indulge Yourself...

with Durians, of course... the king of fruits! :)

Mum bought home 5 bijis as there's a fruit stall nearby selling it. Seeing that it's been a while since we all ate one (yeah, we heart lu-lians), we decided to have a feast after dinner.

A few lu-lians have rich yellow flesh, clearly distinguishable from the rest. However there was one which the flesh was in a black-ish color, Mum return it in exchange for a better one.

We raided quite a huge amount of Lu-lians that night. Such an excellent taste that feels like it surpasses in flavour of every food in the world. I felt... awesome.

Anyone interested for a durian fest-cum-gathering? Can't wait to fart though.

Budget for June has been always tight, with a number of my family birthdays' falls on the same month. Gosh, things gets tighter considering the fact that Father's Day happens to be on the same month while Mother's Day just is a month earlier.

For Mum's bday, we dine out at Hau Kee Seafood Restaurant in Yulek.

This place's pretty popular in Cheras as they served good food and it's packed during nights. This was the first time we ate here and the food was satisfyingly good. Herb Chicken Bucket is awesome as the meat is tender and served with tasty chicken essence. I personally dig the Lotus Roots Stir-fried with Macadamia Nuts. Price wise, a bit costly but worthy. Thanks to Dad's Google skill, he's doing good in his Internet. Lol!

Most of the cakes are being actually baked by my sister. I think she's pretty good at it seeing that she's been doing it for a few years and received number of cake orders. So should you be interested to get a cake or share some baking tips, leave me a message or check her blog out here @ mcwhisky.blogspot.com. She also takes orders for cupcakes as well, all for a good price.

Alright, gotta continue watching the Golden Compass DVD... bought for quite some time ago but didn't have the time to watch it. Will be attending for another job interview in Public Bank tomorrow. Hope things will turn out to be good.

Dumpling Festival!

Last month, both of us went back to hometown for Dumpling Festival last month. My grandma was preparing dumplings for the whole family members and relatives. Grandma's dumpling was so popular and delicious, that even everyone insist to have them. However, lot of preparations are needed to make these nice dumplings.

During the weekends in JB, we stopped by Desaru with my brother, Issa hoping to get a sun-tan session BUT too bad, the weather was not friendly at all. Every beach or seaside we stopped, it will start to drizzle and rain. Sweat... it seems like the gray cloud was chasing us where ever we go~ What a disappointment!

KL Bird Park

Seeing that it's time for some outdoor activites, we decided to do some bird-watching in the KL Bird Park, known as the world's Largest Covered Bird Park (sure not?).

Situated in the middle of city centre nearby the popular Lake Gardens, the KL Bird Park houses many species of birds in an enclosed anviary.

The size of the bird park is impressive and there are different pathways to walk along and explore. The birds were either let free flying everywhere or some of them were in the cages.

We were greeted by a pair of bright colored parrots... very loving

As we got there early, we saw birds being taken out and fed as the park staff were cleaning their cages. Notice the chilli seeds on the floor!

We saw the most ferocious bird.. on a bird show for an 1/2 hour and usually around 12:30pm and 3:30 pm.

Stopped by at the Hornbill Restaurant & Cafe. A variety selection of local and western cuisines available here but the price's slightly expensive. We sat at the open verandah facing the green scenery. Yes, it even has WIFI connection here, hence we got online with the Asus Eee PC!

You'll find other attractions nearby the Bird Park such as the National Monument, Butterfly House, Orchid Garden and more. It's an interesting place to visit and well worth the slightly pricy admission fees.

These 2 questions have become so famous today, almost everyone with car will ask each others about these questions!

So, did ya Q up and pump petrol last night? Well, I did! Muahahaha! I did that was because my petrol tank was totally empty, and I had Q there for 45 mins~ I nearly gave up, as I do not have the patient to wait. Almost every petrol station was packed, and cause the traffic jam. I was thinking, after this full tank, I still gotta pay this amount every time if I need to pump petrol, but count it properly, I did save quite a lot~

Thank god the petrol station is just right across Frag's house :)

Rumors (got the source from lowyat.net) has it that there will be oil protests going on within Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur areas today. What choice do the people have other than venting their frustrations with complains...

Personally I think it's crap that they have it at the wrong place in KL. But it is best to be careful and also stay away from any illegal gatherings should you be at the following areas below:-

After the sudden rise of petrol hike, things are going to be tough ahead for not only motorist but also Malaysian citizens. It's sad to see the drastic increment of petrol and diesel alongside with TNB's electricity price. Nowadays, people are being pushed and squashed around to suffer.

According to the news from Sun papers, this move will save the government about RM 13.7 billion. Gosh! For this amount of money, I wonder what in the world are they going to do. Send another astro-nut up to the space or spend needless funding on something unnecessary? I bet our man Pak Lah has the answer to it.

A pretty good/hot issue to discuss and debate about right now, especially in the blog world but the damage's done for now, period. Beggars can't be choosers though. All we need to do now is buckle up, stop complaining and get on with it.

Hope the G' better improve on the transportation system instead. Sigh...

Late Night Show...

It's 3.30 am and here I am, with the lovely Feebz sleeping peacefully beside me. Thankfully there's any snoring heard yet. Haha! Still up busy surfing around online and being a little starved here.

Gotta admit that I'm not being hardworking enough with updates on the blog lately, even though I'm going through a rough but "free and easy" life at the moment. Still on the hunt for jobs, well the results are satisfying but I still haven't found what I am looking for, period. The good thing is I've received calls requesting for interviews already. Only time (and luck) will tell.

Thoughts of drive through order for McD breakfast still lingers in my mind. Sounds crazy but yes, I've been a serious hardcore food consumer lately. In fact, I'm slowly turning into a scary eating monster with huge appetite ala Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. But I'm red instead... a true Red Devil. Kudos to the English champs on their Moscow triumph! :)

Anyway, time to hit the bed. Got early interviews to attend tomorrow. Here's the next update... coming out soon!

Mid Year Sales!

The popular sales has begun earlier in all shopping centers since middle of May~! The shopping spree is so heavy and everyone is out to perform their shopping 'duties', especially during the lovely weekend. Well, SALES is really a word that makes people open their eyes and excite them whenever they heard of it, okay, especially for ladies!

Speaking of our moment, we went to the Isetan Pre-Sales (exclusively for members) in KLCC last week for some shopping action. Once we got there, Isetan was so horribly crowded even though it's early in the morning!

Many of the stuff there is really worth buying as its on sale for cheap and reasonable price. You'll find swarm of people - men and women shopping for items like shoes, clothings, accessories, etc. Additional discounts will be given specially for members only.

The best thing is that we bought 2 Casio watches on that day! We have been eyeing for couple watches for quite sometime. Finally, we decided to bring Mr G-Shock and Ms Baby-G home with a nice 50% discount each. Really worth getting them as it is a good offer!

Busy with work lately. Feels tiring after work everyday, learning new things that are challenging. However, I do really enjoy my work as it's fun working with my colleagues and this job is flexible in working hours and the environment is comfortable for my liking.

Sometimes, feel kinda lifeless cause after work, there's nothing I feel like to do but to get ton of rest! And once a while I need to stay back late, being dedicated to work, with meetings or appointments till 9p.m+. So what else is there to do after reaching home at 10p.m.?

Thank God I just need to work for 5 days. But if there's any events during the weekend, it's another different story already! As one of the event planner and decision maker for my dept, I will definitely try not choose it to be on weekend, but for cases like PC Fair, then I really have no choice then!

There are a few projects on hand waiting to be launched, guess what, I'm using one of the product samples to blog here. Wahahaha! Gonna be busy until I finished launching the 2 new products and 2 grand events for my company!

I love weekends!!!!

Mesra, Cekap & Betul... My Foot!

Was doing my usual routine of fetching Feebz to a place in Cheras where she meets her colleague there to carpool to work. As we arrived slightly earlier, usually I'll stop and park my car at the road side - with car signal on, just right in front of a bus stop while waiting.

Out of a sudden, a police car stopped right in front of us, with their siren lightbar on. As we watched the car reversing all the way back slowly into our direction, we thought what the heck are they doing.. reversing and blocking cars coming on the left lane.

An officer came down with his machine gun and walked towards us, he then ask for our identifications. No reason were being given anyway but at least he greeted us first. Being good citizens as we are, we responded and did what we should do. We realized Feebz's ID card and driving license are at home! He then requested for her name and ID card no. to call back for checking. After some time-consuming check procedure, we suggested call back home for someone to bring it to us, as it is nearby. Right after that we're let off though.

Don't they have something better else to do on a Tuesday morning? Shouldn't they be doing crime detection, or prevention activities like catching criminals etc, or doing traffic controls somewhere else? Their job is to keep the country peaceful by putting the country's laws into force - not disturbing innocent citizens like us for nothing! What the officers did is certainly stupid and waste of time! Mau duit kopi kah, tuan?

Perharps they should consider a change on their slogan to this instead... Mesra, Tidak Cekap & Tak Betul.

I am truly ashamed. There goes my extra 15 mins of sleep.

Cameron Highland

We went up to Cameron Highland last weekend, organised by Frag's mum and relatives~! Started our journey on 4 cars with a total of 15 of us!

We departed on Sat morning and reached there around 1 p.m. But due to Wesak holiday on Monday, there were a lot of people going up too, thus it was very crowded and traffic jam!!!

The gang stayed in the Star Regency Hotel Apartments, a 3-room apartment located in Brinchang town. It is a very nice strategic location as the hotel apartment is just 5 mins walk away to the town's only popular pasar malam~

The both of us did dropped by Tanah Rata, the biggest town in Cameron Highlands. There are shops to buy souvenirs, eat freshly made sweet potatoes, mushrooms, etc. as well as buy our groceries . Really enjoyed a few days of fresh country air and tranquility up there.

Bako National Park, Kuching

On the 2nd day after our breakfast, we proceed to Bako National Park for some good jungle trekking fun. To our expectation, the park is indeed a treasure chest of fauna and flora, very good experience for us city folks!

Upon reaching Bako Village which took us approximately 40 mins from Kuching, we got a longboat (operated by villagers there) chartered at the terminal to continue our journey with a 25 mins boat ride to National Park.

A huge number of jungle trekking trails here. Got ourselves a local guide for a sum, seeing none of us is experienced enough to trek without any leads.

Greeted by rocky head-cliffs, due to constant erosion and sandy beach at the coastline. Our guide then told us a myth story of a cow (?) head here.

Wooden planks makes walking through the jungle easy, but there's more.

The mangrove forest, home to long-tailed Macaques and silver-leaf monkeys, hermit crabs along with other animals. We even spotted the very popular and bizzare long-nosed Proboscis monkeys!

Tough trails we faced on the way, going up and down.

Tree roots comin out on a steep area. Tip: Use it well to balance yourself.

You have to put your physical fitness to test as it lead you to up rugged hilltop.

On our way down, our guide brought us on a more challenging trail leading to the mangrove area via this small cave opening.

This National Park is truly an ideal place for nature lovers and adventurers. Kindly be noted that it's better to book a return boat journey immediately after you arrive here. And the walks are not shaded and exposed to sun, so come prepared for hot and humid weather.

Will definitely visit this again!

Kuching, Sarawak (Part One)

The F&F Squad decided to touched down and spent a few days hanging around in the Cats City aka Kuching, Sarawak courtesy of Air Asia! Kidding... they were offering free tix promotion recently.

Paired with soon-to-be husband & wife, Rourou and Hois joined along by home boy Casa who acted as our local guide, we had quite some great time on our trip there. The fact is I've never been to Kuching, was hoping to experience the life there and also catch a real S'wakian Orang Utan, like the one below.

Meet Kenny Sia...

The Cat Museum (ground floor of Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara, DBKU) located on top of Bukit Siol, 60 meteres above sea level. Beautiful sceneries overlooking the Cat city, I'd say.

Tried to imitate the lovely cats behind, but I failed miserably.

1 unique museum, showcasing everything related to the world of cats. You'll find artifacts and memorabilia's from all over the world. Entrance's free btw.

Stopped by the Holiday Inn Damai Lagoon Resort in Santubong, isolated from the city area. Has a nice resort ambiance to it.

Pretty nice beach with chalets around, this place definitely makes a nice romantic getaway!

We chilled and relaxed there for quite some time, looking at the beautiful sea front and listening to the waves. Like what Borat said, nice...

Hopped over to Sarawak Cultural Village, hoping to see the diverse tribes, their culture and lifestyle. However, we were put off by the ridiculously expensive entrance fee, even for Malaysians like us. No doubt, we left after that. Talk about double standard!

Something cheap, we stopped by the stalls on the road side to have some coconuts on the way back to the city.

Went over to the Sarawak State Museum next, we visited several museums there as well. Would have been much more interesting if they have more things in there.

In the Art Museum, RR and home boy Casa touching the wooden statue's wee-wee. Wonder what are they both praying for... something big?

Not to be missed are the food! Here's the authentic Kuching Kolo Mee! Had a number of them during my stay - simply delicious. Also must try are "3, 4 or 5 layer Teh-C-Peng" (available in all kopitiams ), tomato fried noodles (forgot the place), belacan noodles (forgot the place as well) and the popular "Sio Bee" (Sin Kwang Heng, open air market). We ate almost everything there! Kenny Sia has a better review here on S'wak food!

Coming up next will be highlight of our Kuching trip, our adventure in Bako National Park! Later in part 2 I guess, not now. Very sleepy, ciao.

Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam Agricultural Park

After our super exciting Bako National Park in Kuching and FRIM jungle trekking in Kepong (will blog about both later) last month, this time we had decided have another round of outdoor activities, but this time no trekking!

Got to know that the Bukit Cahaya Agriculture Park (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya) is the only agro-forestry park around, which is quite unique.

Inside here, you will be able to visit a few attraction spots, by taking the free bus transportation service provided to travel around the park.

The places that the bus will pass by are the Animal Park, Rabbit Park, Bird Park, Mushroom Park and also the 4 Seasons house (the season is according to actual real season). During these time, it is actually the time for spring~!

During the month of March till June duration, the 4 seasons House is actually decorated in Spring! The temperature inside here is about 7 to 12 degree, pretty chilling. And the smell of fresh flowers blooming was really nice!

Us inside the 4 seasons house together with Jane and Casa! Nice chilling temperature which make us don’t feel like going out from there!

Our main intention coming here was to cycle around the park. With the bicycle-renting service provided here, it is good for us as we would not need to bring our own. Then each of us got ourselves a bicycle from the shops there. Rental price charges accordingly, but it is cheap.

Was ready to start our journey after picking up a nice bicycle which suit us~

Started our journey on the other side of the park, which lead us to fruits plants and etc! You will be able to see a lot of different type of local fruits! We were very tired cycling on the curvy road and hills as it went on to noon. Will certainly go there again.

Bangkok Invasion - Episode 3

To cope with the lack of late update, here's the final episode of our Bangkok trip - the Chao Phraya river adventure - also our most anticipated experience. Got off at the final BTS Sky Train stop on the Silom line, the Saphan Taksin station to get here at the Phraya river.

Some facts first, the river is known to be a major transportation artery for a vast network of ferries and water taxis, with several towns connected to it. There's a boat ride service which took us to all the 9 piers and its famous attractions, added with different communities there.

We took the Chao Phraya Express to begin our journey along the river.

For tourists like these angmohs (and us), you can also get a one-day river pass with unlimited trips along the river. However, we missed out on that.

You'll find buildings and 5-stars hotels along the river.

One of the main attractions, Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. It's beautiful even from a far distance away. Too bad we didnt stop there.

Stopped by Maharaj Pier, leading us to a market and the Grand Palace. Unfortunately, we didnt go inside as we are wearing slippers. :(

We opted for a inside tour on a long-tail boat to visit canals instead.

For 800 baht, we had the boat by ourselves on an hour's journey. A rip-off? I dunno but we are certainly thrilled.

We saw typical old houses, shacks, temples, etc. along with the lifestyle of the people along the water way. It's really relaxing seeing them.

Taken to this "floating market". Only a couple of boats waiting there. Bloody conman, real one was actually north up - quite a distance though!

Continued our exploration. Simply view-tiful,got us back on mood again.

Back on land, we explored areas looking around.

Old buildings around... gives the creepy feeling.

Looking at Buddha pendants along the streets. For collecters, it's interesting as these comes in different sizes, designs & prices.

After some shopping we head off to another pier. The weather was friendly, just a little blazing hot. Great for some photo-taking session. :)

Next stop, Ratchawong Pier greeted by "thuk-thuks". Chinatown here we come!

End up it turns to be another shopping haven, especially for the ladies. Good for those who would like to do bulk of business to bring back.

By the time we got back to Saladaeng, the traffic was heavily congested.

I like seeing life along the riverside, its so real THAI life. Quite a breath-taking experience if you can withstand the strong wind and waves on a boat, enough to be scary at times!

That's all for the BKK trip. Looking forward to another Thai trip.

I'm slowly, slowly ...

Recovering from this!

I was told by the Tit Tar Sifu during my visit to the Chinese message parlor that my nerve was overlapped, could be due to the wrong sleeping position or the long hours sitting in front of the computer while at work.

I realized that the condition got worse when I have sprained the same spot again! The nerve actually was connected from my neck till my shoulder and all the way to my arm and middle finger. Ouch!

Certainly need a great length of time to recover according to the Tit Tar Sifu. My shoulder is slowly recovering, but it is still swollen till now~! So I need to be extra careful when I carry heavy stuff (using heavy lappie everyday) and also the position when I'm trying to take something using my right hand! No doubt, there are some food that I need to avoid too~! No choice but gotta follow!

Thanks Daling Frag for accompanying me all the while when I go for my treatment, and always remind me to avoid those food :D

Life Is... Busy?

Finally, our blog's back up and running after a not-so-short ''downtime''. Life is getting very busy for us both lately. Sometimes I wonder how on earth do we manage to keep our life so busy at all times. Well, better to be busy and productive rather than being bored doing nothing at all, I guess.

For the past few weeks, we've been filling our schedule with tons of activities, thus reaching some new landmarks on our pathway of life...

1... Feebz's adaptation of a new busy working environment right in the middle of KL. You're doing really well and I'm proud of you baby. So work hard, play hard and at the same time rest more ok!

2... Had our Kuching trip with RR and Hois, joined along by our local host Casa. It was my first time there and I find that life's quiet pretty laid back there unlike KL. The most memorable experience was definitely the wildlife jungle trekking adventure in the Bako National Park. It was worth every penny, just that we had an ''over-friendly'' guide who ''bulls'' alot. We even saw Malaysia's top blogger, Kenny Sia having his dinner - alone. If only our guide was there.

3... Gone looking high and downs for rooms to rent within Cheras area for Feebz due to her new work. Found a few suitable ones but it's still in our decision at the moment. Did finished packing up at her old place and trying to get things moving. It's not easy to look for a room, with various issues such as location, security, flatmates, carpack space etc. to worry about.

4... Had our second round of jungle trekking and canopy walk (200m walkway built on tree tops), this time with my colleagues and Casa back in Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Kepong. Experienced the peace of mind on KL's finest nature again after our recent trip to Bako National Park in Sarawak. I admit that I've gotten addicted to such activities, taking it as a form of exercising and stress-reliever. So might wanna consider getting a hiking shoes!

5... Most importantly, it's our 10-month anniversary together! Realized that the days are going so fast as we go on, and we are now counting the days again. Everything's just wonderful and I am so glad to say that I am blessed to have you in my life. I love you very much, dearest Phoebe. p/s: My Jogoya?

A week~

Yeah it’s Friday!!!!!

Been working in Asus for a week already, notice the big different between my previous job. All the while, it was software and now it is focused more on hardware. There are many products that I need to study and pick up. Job scope is so much different because I need to meet a lot of media, organize events such as PC fair, road show, etc. It is interesting through.

I find it really challenging and in fact it is something new for me to learn and gain more experience. Still in the learning stage at the moment, thus I am hoping to inherit and gain more knowledge from my senior. All the colleagues here are nice and friendly as well, willing to guide me whenever I need help.

The tough part is that I have a longer working hours and also hectic working schedule. I was made to attend 5 meetings, right just on my second day! Tight schedule as there are many things that have to be settled and completed a.s.a.p, in this fast paced industry on the marketing side.

I look tired and certainly there will not be enough sleep everyday. However, I will need some time to get use to everything mainly the hectic work. There is another issue that I need to get accustomed to, which is the TRAFFIC JAM during every morning and knock off time. Still, need to try my very best and I have confidence that I can do this!

Well today is the last working day of the week. Felt so excited as I will be flying to Kuching tomorrow morning with Daling Frag, RR and Hois. We will be going there to meet our dear Casa and he will be our tour guide for the trip. Hopefully, this time he will perform this duty well, else I think there wont be 3rd time going there, I think. Wahahaha!

P/s – Casa, please do some homework and plan where to bring us, no movie for everyday k!

Steamboat

Yesterday during the late noon, we head over to KLCC Convention Centre for the Pikom PC Fair. The entire venue were so crowded, sometimes it's just hard to walk around and take a look at the computer stuff and such.

However after some time, we bought a Canon 3-in-1 printer, Seagate 160GB 2.5" Portable Hard Disk and also a "kap-chai" headphone for quite a bargain price. Met Casa there as well because he need to get a MP3 for his sista in the PC fair too.

Frag's parents went for their vacation and since there were a few of us at home, so we had decided to have a simple home cooked steamboat session. We invited Casa to join us and Frag's siblings along as we have bought quite a large amount of steamboat ingredients and food.

All of us were so hungry, cant wait the food to be cook~

Waiting for the soup to boil~ This is 2nd round already.

I'm at work currently freezing while busy doing nothing. It sure feels cold here. Man, I need some good music to kill off my downbeat feelings of melancholy and pessimism, while waiting for the time to pass. There goes a beautiful Saturday morning.

Need to head to nearby police station after work to see if I'm able to settle Feebz's summon. Hope the counter's open today, so we can beg for ''forgiveness''. After that, we'll shoot off to KLCC to meet up Casa for the PC Fair to get a printer for home.

Anyways on the bright side, looking forward to tonight's main event, home cook steamboat... I can't wait for it!

Old Town Kopitam

Reporting live from Old ~~Trafford~~ Town, Taman Midah along with dear Feebz. Yes, it's freaky Friday today and seeing that wonderful weekend's coming, we decided to hangout here as the place's suitable for chilling out and relax.

Usually, we'll be seen here surfing online (him) and getting busy with the PSP (her)... sipping cool ice milk teas to pass our time slowly here. This Cheras outlet (between Honda showroom & Toyota service centre) sure is crowded - very crowded especially when it comes to night. People of all ages coming here to sip iced ''kopis'', ''goyang kakis'' and talk grandfather stories like there's no tomorrow.

The franchise for Old Town ain't cheap though, around 200k plus minus depending on shop's size, I heard. It's common to see such kopitiam concepts mushrooming all around the town within these few years, with Old Town White Coffee being the pioneer. We have Oldtaste, Olden Town, Old Kopitiam, Station Kopitiam etc. appearing everywhere, good enough to "tarpao" the big international players like Starbucks and Coffee Bean.

To many coffee kakis, maybe it does matter to them. But I don't really fancy coffee that much thus I dont really care what are the differences, pros & cons between all these holy kopitiams. As long as the place's serving a variety of food, cheap & affordable price, comfortable enough to rest my butt on... I'm good with it. I'll be a loyal die hard customer too.

Now where's my glass of "Xi Mut" ice tea and kaya & butter toasts? Bwahahaha!

PATAPON - PSP Game

Recently I’m so addicted to a PSP game which is called PATAPON. Some of my closed friends will know how I got into this feverish game. It is a new Japanese game which was just released on early 2008. This game really attracts me, the cute and special army team, and the story line is fun! The whole game will continue by follow the rhythm.

During the game, the PATAPON army units will be able to collect a few different type of drums, by using the drum, the army will be able to move forward, attack the enemy, gain power to beat the enemy in the highest hit and damage, and also to defend themselves.

Types of drums you will be able to find in this game:-

Pon Drum
Pata Pata Pata Pon = Move forward

Pata Drum
Pon Pon Pata Pon = Attack

Chaka Drum
Chaka Chaka Pata Pon = Defense
Pon Pon Chaka Chaka = Gain Power

Don Drum
Don DonDon DonDon = Summon miracle, rain, wind, earthquake & storm

Besides the drums, there will be some miracle items, like summons the rain, wind, and earthquake and storm, because the army units will require these items to fight their way and pass through desserts, and some other places which the miracle power will help them to go smoother. (Wauhaha, pass through the dessert already? hehe!)

There are several standard stages to go through, first priority is to fight the enemy, second priority is to slay the giant dinosaur with different levels and final priority is to keep on hunting to get Ka-Ching (money to build army units). By hunting the animals and slaying the dragon, the PATAPON army will be able to gain more weapons, special stones, meat, and also branches entitle to build a stronger army.

There are a few mini games, which are another way to get more special stones, and branches to build the army units. As this game is all about the rhythm and beats, if you are able to catch up and follow the rhythm well perfectly, you will be able to complete the task successfully and gifted with lots of useful weapons.

There are a few types of PATAPON army units using different type of weapons, and different attack method, the PATAPON army can be build by using various combination of stones, branches, alloy, and even different type of meats! Of course, you will need Ka-ching as well!

Below are the names of the PATAPON army units:-

Megapon – Saxophones
Dekapon – Maces
Kibapon – Horse, Halberds
Yumipon – Bows
Tatepon – Axe, Swords
Yaripon – Spears

Bangkok Invasion - Episode II

Sawadee krap-krapp-krappp...

After some serious hardcore wallet-busting shopping on our first two days in the Land of ~~Transvestites~~ ~~Coconuts~~ Smiles aka Bangkok, Team F&F decided to slow down things and explore further upon Saladaeng area in search for some good food on the 3rd day.

There are street food stalls everywhere within our hotel area selling a huge variety of street food, kind of similar to the ones found in a local night market here, but at a much cheaper price. Really ''peng-leng-jeng'' I'd say. Another thing, pork can be found almost everywhere! Woot!!

Had our brunch here at the HONGMIN Restaurant, serves Chinese-style food.

Decided to try to dim sum, so Feebz's put in charge of ordering.

Worn-out hungry soldier waiting, he survived the shopping massacre too!

The place's well decorated, giving us the Zen feeling. Very nice ambiance.

You've to try the orange (or citrus) juice whenever you're in BKK. The taste's great. Easily be found everywhere, usually selling at a price of 20 baht per bottle.

Tried the gigantic fried 'wu gok'! Very crispy and tons of yams inside. One is enough to stuff you full.

'Char Siu Paus', didnt find it nice as the inside seems to be half-done and there isnt any gravy at all. Definitely no match for the local paus back here!

After trying out a couple plates of dim sums, we decided to try one of the dishes there. Here's Pork Ribs Kuey Teow Noodles - very tasty.

Thai Ronalds here pray very hard occasionally, regretted that I didnt smuggle some McPorks back home.

Shopping mission began... continued walking around in MBK complex.

Got our Thai decorations / handicrafts here. Price's cheap provided if you buy huge quantity and bargain with the sellers well. Spent quite some time here, and our pockets got burned.

While she's busy shopping, I'm busy snapping random photographs.

~~Sial~~ Siam Paragorn Shopping Mall, Asia's largest. Didnt spend much time there as it's all expensive branded stuffs, similar to Pavilion KL. Under Water World's there. Saw a magic show being performed there though.

For our dinner in the evening, we managed to find a restaurant serving authentic Thai food. Quite crowded. All hail Banana Leaf Restaurant!

Going to start a new job soon, kinda excited, meanwhile got a week or I should say 10 days break before I actually start the new job~~

Raining cats and dogs out there, blogging this entry from Maluri starbucks, yea, I got nothing better to do, so come here and visit a friend who is the Store Manager here. Come here almost 2 days once because currently Im staying at Frag’s place~ Maluri Jusco is one of the familiar places I know how to come from Frag house! I had to admit that Cheras is really a new area for me which I do not know the route to some places, I might know how to reach the destination, but go back his place is a big issue to me, alright I’m dumbo

New working place will be in Jalan Bukit Bintang, KL, right opposite Pavilion, it gonna be very jam, everyday I go to work and back L Stay at Frag’s place will be easier for me to go to work, nearer and no need to pay toll at all. I can’t imagine if I travel from my place to KL everyday during peak working hour.

Just back from JB yesterday, went back there for few days, rest myself and spend more time with my family and nunu. Had a great time in JB, hang out with my parents and brothers most of the time! But too bad, I’m still sick, sore throat, on and off fever and coughing non stop, for a week already, I think I really need to control my mouth, not to eat those spicy and heaty fried food for sometimes till I completely free from sore throat and coughing.

Nothing much to do here, chatting with my friend once in a while as she need to work and online browsing, that’s it. So, my dear friends out there, if you see this entry and you are free till this Friday, do look for me, maybe we can hang out, yum cha or shopping! Hehe!

My to-do list before start work-
1) Car Insurance and Road tax.

2) Bill payments.

3) Fixing my car windows. (I actually pull the button too hard and spoilt it)

4) Check out new office parking place. (heard that there is a cheaper parking around the office, 2 minutes walk)

5) Find out the nearest and less jam way to work.

Goodness gracious! The clock's showing 5.40 am and I've still not gotten a sleep at all since last night. What the heck am I doing at such hour here?

Tried to shut my eyes but the brain's pondering on something which I cant describe. I kept on musing while lying down, going into deep thoughts of things that flashed in my head... filled with ''what ifs" and "why" with the big question mark at the end of every sentence...

Was I worried about the future? What are my achievements during my existance of 25 years? Where could I be heading to in a few years time? What's missing in life for me? Why the heck am I thinking of things at such time when I should be sleeping like the rest?

Gosh, I am thinking too much... absolutely.

And it will certainly never end.

Bored . Boring . Boredom

A pretty boring day in the office since I tendered my resignation letter earlier this week. So relieved that finally it's coming to an end. Be will heading back to her hometown this coming weekend for a few days before starting her new job.

Countless of things to be planned and done... updating the blog (Thai update coming up), adding / removing PC (been a while since I really touch it), fixing her car (add turbo, lol!), job hunting (working on it, seriously), playing Hellgate: London (damn addicted to it, not Patapon!), arranging weekly games (body's outta shape, definitely need some exercise here), hanging out chillin, eating etc. Anything but to do with the current work. Change is what keeps us fresh and innovative, supposed things will change for good... Yeah!

Currently blasting music on my PC and surfing the whole morning here. I am bored! Plus being hungry ain't helping too. Looking forward for lunch with Be later, as she'll be coming to pick me up. That's a first!

Bangkok Invasion - Episode 1

Well since the cool place we stayed in Saladaeng, Bangkok was mentioned previously, I'll be posting the rest of our holiday adventure. A couple of words to sum up our much awaited trip for this year - awesome+enjoyable. There's never a dull moment when it comes to Bangkok.

Nearby our hotel were areas filled with shopping complex, markets, restaurants, entertainment outlets, bars, etc. which is easily accessible via Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) aka skytrain. Drop the 'tuk-tuks' and taxis if you wanna save time, the traffic's bad during the evenings.

We find that Bangkok’s people are very hospitable, an integral part of Thai culture... I guess. Most things there can be done with a smile and a laugh, especially important if you are a tourist there and don’t speak Thai. Oh yeah, the calculator's an essential tool, if you plan to do some hardcore shopping like ~~her~~ both of us.

Boarded the Manchester United A320 plane & I felt like a champion.

We arrived at the Suvarnabhumi Airport at night, no match for KLIA.

We prepared ourselves for Chatuchak Weekend Market early in the next morning. It's only open during weekends and we were lucky.

To get there, we took the BTS from Saladaeng & stop at Mo Chit station. Using the skytrain's the best and quickest way to get to places in Bangkok. 15THB up to 40THB per trip, depending on zones. Yes, it's air-conditioned!

Freaking huge, with more than 15k stalls inside, it'll take the whole day to walk as you'll find all kinds of stuff ranging from clothings to decos here.

Truly a shopping haven, you can shop till you drop.

Shoes & sandals everywhere... we bought a few pairs back.

And hangbags... this little bag turned itself up to Feebz. Along with a pair of nice shoes, we paid 350 THB. Cheap bargain.

Tons of fashion clothings, and she couldnt stop smiling as we go on. Ladies would love shopping here as the choices are wide & it's CHEAP - if you negotiate well.

Variety of food & drinks sold here. There's a nice crowded noodle chicken shop around which is a must try - I forgot where. We had to drink non-stop to kept ourselves hydrated!

Legs were aching by the time it's late noon, but the battle for shopping still continues. Buggy service's provided for free.

And the battle continues, this time we raided some ladies accessories.

We didn't get this. Would be great to hide my face in one of these. Muahaha!

Pic-tar time! It got more humid as we went on.

We saw a possessed 'woman' and a slim Digiman on the street on the way back. Marketing & ads sure is done crazily everywhere.

Traffic's starting to get congested, we took the skytrain back to Saladaeng.

We spent quite some money getting stuff from the market, but it was worth while. It's best to bring a backpack along just in case.

Well we didn't finished walking some areas of the market as it was THIS huge. However, we experienced the mingle with the crowds, sweat it all out and had fun in the Biggest Weekend Market. And there are holes appearing on our pockets already. Would definitely visit this place again if we are to go to shopping in Bangkok again.

Bangkok Invasion - The Hotel

It is not a 5 stars hotel, nor a famous one, but it is a nice location, nice environment and most important, a clean and safety place to stay in Bangkok!

Inn SaLaDaeng is the place that we had stayed during our 5 days 4 nights trip in Bangkok! It is recommended by my cousin sista, cause she was there in the early March and this hotel is just newly opened for less than 3 months~

There is a famous and huge night market which open 6 days a week (except Monday). 2 minutes walk to BTS or MRT and there are 2 shopping complexes around with a lot of convenient shop and drug store which open 24 hours.

Many food stalls around which you wont need to afraid you cant get anything to eat from morning till evening~ A lot of food to eat and drink; such as crispy pan cake, chicken rice, mixed rice, different types of noodles, bbq fish, shrimp, pork balls, citrus juice, special made coffee, and a lot more Thai food that we hardly get it here :)

It Is Over...

Yes, the event is finally over.

All the hard work and late nights for the past few recent months has paid off.

The ~~fucking~~ furniture fair showcasing the furniture industry has came to an end on 08/03/08.

Frankly speaking, I felt relieved and at the same time BORED with how things turned out to be, considering that the exhibition went well. Maybe cause it is now my 3rd year with the company?

I am starting to get real sick of my daily work routine, consisting loads of paperwork and follow-up calls, mostly redundant. Basically it is part of one year's preparation besides doing sales of exhibition spaces. This is where you could travel out and meet people from the furniture line... instead of getting stuck to the box inside office from 9 till 5. There isn't any commision for sales by the way - which suck big time.

Next, feels like the company is not heading towards the right direction... without any obvious improvement for the past few years. Spearheaded by an old man who is unwilling to listen to new changes, a few ineffective no-action-talk-only (NATO) management, throw in the office politics (yes the upper management does that too often).

Do they think of the staff benefits? My foot! Work hard, no appreciation given and end up you will be accused of not giving your 100%. Cant decide firmly on something so simple and then to have it changed in the very last minute before we (the staff) execute it? Lame bad decision making! Backstabbing your own staff in front of the clients, complaining on our performance, never providing support whenever needed etc. That's totally crap.

Back to the exhibition anyways...

To all the exhibitors who have been a pain in the ass, screw you.

To all hall staff who stood up fighting alongside me for the entire 10 days, I salute you.

And to my baby who visited me frequently and kept me accompanied at times during the fair, thank you very much for everything and I love you deep-deep dear!

Looking forward for a good holiday in Thailand with Feebz though... coming up within few days time. And I seriously cant wait to get everything out from my head and enjoy this trip with my missus. :)

Gabai Waterfall

Just got the waterfall picture from KC, going to blog something about it now~

It was a nice trip, because we don’t need to travel very far to reach the destination, yet we can have a nice and relax trip.

It is good to have some outdoor activities than just makan and minum, because we have been living in such busy environment everyday XD

The trip is organize by Casa, but support by all of us :D Thanks to him anyway!

All of us wake up real early on the Sunday morning. Met up at Frag’s house then we head to a dim sum shop opposite his house and have our fresh dim sum early morning!

After breakfast, we were heading to the Gabai Water fall which is near to Kajang and Ampang (not very sure :P)

We brought a home made customize cake for Casa and celebrate earlier birthday with him! Nice deco and nice taste, am I right, guys????

We had climbed 2 very high staircases to reach a better spot of the waterfall, it is so tiring and it was really killing me!!! But one glad thing is no one give up half way during the climbing.

Boring me and my boring entry~

Dear Frag is not free lately, there is a big event held on the coming week. As a Hall Manager, he need to make sure everything is in order, including briefing and guiding the temporary staff, preparing brochures, customer inquiry and the decorations of the halls and customers’.

He need to OT almost everyday, sometimes work until the next day morning~ and no choice, he need to work on weekend too.

I feel so alone without his companion during the weekdays and especially weekend! I need to go out alone or look for some friends to hang out, if not I will die because of bore-ness.

Blog this boring entry is because, I am now waiting for him and he had promised me to be home around 7p.m.+. Now is already 8.30p.m. and I believe he is still in the meeting. I am so afraid to wait for another 4 hours like last Sunday as he promised to come back earlier.

I understand his situation and really pity to see him so restless, and even no time and no appetite to have a proper meal.

Anyway, I am very fine! Since is just another 12 days more! Let’s pray everything is going fine during the fair and I will mentally support you from home! Work hard, baby!

Cannot wait to go to vacation with you soon!

Is really none of my business, is other ppl’s relationship! But this is my blog and my thought XD

I just cant keep myself from thinking or believing that, the gal accepted my frend because of love~ or just because she need help in terms of material stuff and get a better life which the guy can provide her. She knows he will provide to her whatever she ask from him. He is one of those guys whom think that is what a bf should do; to fulfill what the woman he loves desires... showering her with good food, clothes and even a home.

I’m just a passerby to them, but I always feel sad for him. Some of you might say if he willing to do so, why not?! Yes, of cause, if he willing to do so, we can say nothing, but seeing him like that, a man too deeply in love with the gal like this when he can do so much better isn’t something pleasant. Love had really made him blind. Dear friend, time to wake up, u are chasing your own shadow. A goal you will never achieved. How could you love someone if you don’t even love yourself, value yourself?

He tend to act tough in front of others, but in reality, he’s suffering in silence from how she is treating him~ throwing tantrums, cold wars when they are suppose to be still in the “honeymoon” period of a relationship.

He did tell me that the gal treats him kinda good, but seeing how she treats other guys around her I really couldn’t tell that she’s treating him any better (if not worse) from others!

I don’t know what happen behind our eyes. I am just voicing out what I see. All I can see is a one way street. She doesn’t even treat you right, in front of our friends. In fact, she treats other guys better than you.

Well, stop finding excuse to yourself, gal~ Stop thinking that “he should love me more than I love him since he’s the one who after me and falls for me in the 1^st place’. Maybe you think you could measure your love with how much he can give in, but I think the only measurement for love is how much the 2 hearts is~

If you had accepted him, please treat him better than others! Because he loves u more than everyone else~! I don’t know how sincere u were when you accepted him as your bf. Try to sit down and think for a moment if you truly love him. “What have you actually done for him despite all the love and care, he showered upon/gave you?”
I know nobody is perfect, but at least let him know it’s worth it. Unless your definition of love doesn’t mean an everlasting relationship.

No names are involved. I have no intention of hurting or offending anyone as I am just voicing out as a 3rd party point of view. Anyways, I certainly wish that things will turn out fine for them. *PRAY*

Happy Valentine's Day

Speaking up, Valentine's Day is getting too commercialized and is slowly losing it originality. Considering that it's just a fun loving tradition that has been going on since way long long time ago.

February 14 will be the day where prices on almost everything will be jack up sky high. Wouldn't hurt sometimes for lovebirds to pamper one another by dining out, showering gifts, flowers, etc. but to do that, they would need to burn a hole in their wallets and purses.

For those who are currently unattached or single at the moment, Happy Single Awareness Day! And to those are madly in love, I'd say Happy Valentine's Day!

Finally, I'm saving the best for the last, to the person who means everything to me.

Spending every moment together on things we do... going through the ups and downs in life... sharing all the joy, laughter and happiness.

My Chinese New Year

Do you guys enjoy the Chinese New Year?
As for me, is great!
Better than I’d expected~ Maybe is because the 2 weeks before CNY, we all were worried about Frag's popo condition while she was admitted in the hospital, but now, Thank god, she's getting better and already discharge from the hospital~
Can’t really feel it till the day I reached home!
From eve till the 2^nd day of CNY, my house was full of relatives around.
Nice to have them gather together in this special festival.
As usual, we had a lot of nice meal, snacks, biscuits, cakes and drinks! We did go to relatives house together in a very big group (I had a big family, as my dad got 6 siblings) :D
Get to spend more time with my baby nunu during the holidays.
Met some closed friends too!

Year 2008... Year of the Rat!

Dear Feebz has already gone back to her hometown earlier this noon and my friends and colleagues have done the same too. Being a born KL-ite and staying here sure is boring at times, there's no hometown to go back to during the festive seasons.

KL will be empty in these few days, most shops will be closed, no traffic jams or queue ups needed... sigh! It's going to be a quiet Chinese New Year, with Granny still in the hospital. However, she's recuperating really well at the moment, it won't be long before she will be discharged!

I would certainly need to come up with some plans to keep me occupied. The good thing is this year on the 3rd day of CNY, I'll be heading south to JB to visit my baby and also meeting the parents - Focker style!

Tough Moments

Been traveling back and forth regularly to the hospital for almost a week to visit dear Granny who was hospitalized initially due to heavy swell on both legs. It got worse when she was down with a fever and low blood pressure during her stay on the first day. Everyone in the family have been going through a tiring and depressed period since then.

We made frequent visits daily and I felt relieved to see her getting better day by day, very very alive and kicking. She's been mumbling and for the past two days ever since she regained consciousness from the dodgy sleeping pill. The swells on both of her legs and her hands are no longer there. We were surprised on how active she gets and even has the strength to move and push herself up, all by herself!

Bear in mind that her eyesight is almost zero and she is suffering from osteoporosis (weak and fragile bones). However, the specialist told us that the condition of her lungs and her heart are slowly deteriorating due to old age. There's no doubt about it that it will be tough for her within the coming months or years. Sad to see her like this, but that's what is life all about!

I wonder when she will be discharged from the hospital, just in time before the Chinese New Year celebrations? That I really don't know. But hang on and hang in there, I know it's not easy, but just remember the family are all here for you.

Things will get better, Popo. :)
